Building 206
is the original barn, constructed in 1900. The barn is a two-story wood framed building with stone and block foundation, approximately 5,700 square feet per floor. The main floor was used for the storage of hay and the lower level was used to house cattle, calving and milking operations. The building structure is in good condition. A new roof was installed by the City of Traverse City – Charter Township of Garfield Recreation Authority as part of the Barns Stabilization Project. Building 206 is scheduled to remain in the District Plan. There are no utility services (water, sewer, electricity) available to the building at this time.
